Rossi: “We‘re not at 100% yet”

Nine-time World Champion lines up in P7 in Jerez

Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) will start the Spanish GP from the third row of the grid in 2017, after last year’s polesitter had a more difficult session this time round – but saw good improvements after a tough Friday.

The Italian legend was positive on Saturday, but still feels there’s work to be done – looking to protect a 100% podium record so far in 2017 when the lights go out in Spain.

Valentino Rossi, P7: “I think today wasn‘t so bad, because we worked a lot and improved the feeling with the bike. My pace is not bad. We still have to work, especially on the corner entry. I‘m not fully happy about the results in the qualifying. I will start from the third row, which is always difficult and I think we could have done better, but we‘re still working on it. We‘re not at 100% yet, we need to improve.”
