Rossi: "We think we've solved the problems"

VR46 down the timesheets but with interesting information from the #JerezTest

Championship leader Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) had a difficult time with tyres in the Spanish GP, but despite finishing the post-race test in P21, the ‘Doctor’ found some positivity and solutions to his problems. The Italian legend tried a range of rubber during his 62 laps of the Jerez, and set a best of 1:40.463.

Michelin also brought a new front to the test for the grid to try, and the number 46 tested a new chassis. That was not much different, says the 'Doctor'  but some of the data collected during the day was “interesting” for the future – "an important test".

Valentino Rossi, P21: “It’s been a very important test for us. Although we weren’t amongst the fastest, we tried different tyres and it was interesting for the future. The new chassis didn’t work much better than the last. We tried other different things and we understood some important things for the future, and we think we’ve solved the problems.”
