Lorenzo: “Every circuit has its own story”

Guarded optimism and positivity for the ‘Spartan’ as the paddock arrives at another successful venue for the Ducati rider

After a first podium in red in Jerez in an impressive weekend for five-time World Champion Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team), it’s all change in some ways as the paddock heads to Le Mans – but not in the Mallorcan’s record at the venue. Every track is different, but Le Mans - like Jerez - could prove another good venue for Lorenzo; the 'Spartan' having won the most races at the circuit of anyone on the grid: five in the premier class and one in 250cc.

There’s a new track surface, new challenges with the weather and track temperatures, and a new podium to aim at in France – with Lorenzo’s key focus positivity as he gains momentum.

Jorge Lorenzo: “Following the good vibrations we had at Jerez, we are now at Le Mans which is another circuit where I have good memories because I have managed to win a number of times and in different categories. I have to say however that every circuit has its own story, and here we’ll have to see how my Desmosedici goes with the new tarmac. The most important thing however is to maintain the positive spirit that helped us to get onto the podium at Jerez. I am optimistic for this race, because from Austin onwards there has been considerable improvement, especially in terms of sensations, and I’m starting to feel the Desmosedici is increasingly mine.”
