Pedrosa: "We have more info to keep working on"

Repsol Honda rider satisfied with a full day's work at one day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) says the post-Catalan GP test was an important one for him, as the polesitter and podium finisher ended the day in fourth after trying a different fork and running some comparisons. The 'Baby Samurai' also worked on setup and geometry, and used a front tyre brough to the test by Michelin that was used in Misano last year.

After 53 laps, Pedrosa is satisfied to have more data to work with as he gears up for the next round at the TT Circuit Assen - looking for more consistency after bouncing back from a tough Italian GP in style.

Dani Pedrosa, P4: “Today we had an important day as we tried a different fork, doing a lot of comparison tests. We also tried a few things on the setup, working on the bike’s geometry. The track wasn’t in the best condition, as the temperature was very high and the tyres were dropping quite fast, but overall now we have more info to keep working on. At the end of the day, the track improved a bit and we also tried a front Michelin tyre.”
