Folger: rider ok but unable to start at Silverstone

Rookie suffers a DNS following crash in Warm Up

Jonas Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was forced to retire at the Austrian GP after a mechanical issue early in the race, and the German didn't find much turnaround in his luck at Silverstone. After a tough Friday, the rookie was left to head through Q1 but duly graduated and was set to line up tenth. But the best laid plans of man and machine went awry after an issue caused a huge crash in Warm Up - meaning the Tech 3 rider was then unable to start, heading to hospital for a precautionary CT scan.

Bruised but with no fractures, Folger will be back on track at Misano - and gunning to outscore his teammate Johann Zarco as the battle for Rookie of the Year counts down the six remaining races.
