Rabat: “The set up solved a lot of my problems”

A strong finish secures the Spaniard 12th at the chequered flag

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider Tito Rabat wrapped up round 12 at Silverstone with a 12th place finish and some good points after a difficult qualifying session, finding some setup solutions in Warm Up that paid dividends on Sunday afternoon. Starting from P21 on the grid, the 27-year-old from Barcelona pushed hard throughout the 20-lap race and was rewarded with a solid points-scoring finish - gaining nine places.

Overtaking teammate Jack Miller early in the race, Rabat also made a late dive to get passed Karel Abraham (Pull&Bear Aspar team) to make it P12 at the flag with another few points in the bag - for the eighth time this year.

Tito Rabat, P12: “I made a fast start and this gave me the opportunity for a good race after some positive steps with the set-up in the Warm Up solved a lot of my problems. I had a good feeling with the rear tyre from first lap and could push and do fast times even when I was riding alone. I am very happy with this result after a difficult weekend and now I'm looking forward to Misano.”
