Pedrosa: "Tomorrow we’ll keep working on the tyre choice"

2016 winner ended Day 1 in P4 - only a tenth off and having shown some serious pace

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) briefly led the way near the end of Day 1 at Misano, before evetually finishing Friday in fourth. Only a tenth back, the 'Baby Samurai' is content with the work done on tyre choice and the suspension - showing some great pace as he attempts to take back to back wins at the track.

Previously both a winner and polesitter at the venue, it makes good reading for Pedrosa, who is just looking for a little more in Sector 3 as track action resumes on Saturday.

Dani Pedrosa, P4: "This morning the track conditions were not 100% after the yesterday’s rain, and even though they improved this afternoon, the grip wasn’t as good as when we came here for the test two weeks ago. Anyway, we were able to do quite a lot of work, especially on the tyres, looking to understand which one adapts better to the track, and also on the suspension settings. Tomorrow we’ll keep working on the tyre choice and we’ll also concentrate to improve in the third sector, where we’re still missing something."
