McPhee raring to move through the ranks on race day

Tough Saturday but clear objectives for the BTT in the #SanMarinoGP

John McPhee has a clear target for race day on the Riviera di Rimini, which is to move forward from his P18 starting position - relying on a good start to get the comeback underway.

Saturday saw tough beginnings for the British Talent Team with a crash - rider ok - but some lost track time put a dent in the day's plans. However, qualifying saw McPhee eight tenths quicker than he was on Friday, and the Scot is aiming to make the most of Warm Up on Sunday morning to get ready to race and move up from P18.

With the fight so tight in the top six of the Championship, the goal will be simple: points points points!

Moto3™ go racing at 11:00 (GMT +2).

John McPhee, P18: "To start the day with a crash was really frustrating for me, especially when it was down to an electrical. It's put us on the back foot really with only one lap in FP3 but to improve our pace from yesterday by eight tenths in qualifying was important. I need to use Warm Up to our advantage tomorrow and get race ready now. I'll be pushing 100% to get a good start and make some good progress through the pack on Sunday."
