#AragonGP: Moto2™ Sunday Guide

A few titbits on the intermediate class before lights out

- Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) is on pole position for the second time this season after Argentina. He will be aiming to win his first Moto2™ race to become the first ever Portuguese rider to do so in the intermediate category.

- This is the second pole position for KTM this year so far, the only non-Kalex manufacturer to achieve that feat.

- Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) has qualified in second on the grid, his eleventh front row start in the intermediate-category. His best result at MotorLand Aragón is a ninth place back in 2013.

- Álex Márquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) will start from third on the grid, which is his tenth front row start of 2017 and his 12th since he joined Moto2™ in 2015. He stood on the podium for the first time in this class last year at Aragon.

- Heading the second row is his teammate Franco Morbidelli. This is just the second time in the opening 14 races of the season that he has missed the front row. He was eighth on the grid last year at Alcañiz but managed to stand on the podium.

- Simone Corsi (Speed Up Racing) has qualified in fifth on the grid, his best qualifying result since he was fourth last year in Sachsenring.

- Second in the Championship, Tom Lüthi (CarXpert Interwetten) will head the third row. Sachsenring and Motorland are the only two tracks on the current calendar where Lüthi never stood on the podium in the intermediate class.
