McPhee wants more on Day 2

British Talent Team eager to head back out Down Under

John McPhee will be looking to catapult himself up the timesheets on Saturday after Day 1 at the Australian GP proved difficult for the former top five finisher at the venue.

In FP1 the Brit did 15 laps with a best of 1:40.886 coming  on lap 11, and in FP2 McPhee improved to a 1:39.133 following another 16 laps. On combined timesheets the BTT rider is P24, with more to find on Saturday despite the improvement from morning to afternoon.

That qualifying session gets underway at 13:35 (GMT +11) on Saturday, with McPhee looking forward from Friday.

John McPhee, P24: "It was a difficult first day for me. The first session I didn't feel good with the bike and we struggled to improve the laptime. After looking through it all we made some changes but unfortunately had an electrical issue which made it difficult to move forward in FP2. I'm confident I can turn things around tomorrow and will be pushing 100% to do so."
