Dorna Sports is delighted to announce a new three-year contract with JVCKENWOOD as the Japanese company is named the Radio Communications Supplier of MotoGP™ from 2018 to 2020. Sharing many of the core values of MotoGP™ and with world-leading commitment to precision, excellence and tireless technical progress, JVCKENWOOD are a perfect fit for Radio Communications Supplier to the world’s fastest motorcycle racing Championship.
Dorna will exclusively use KENWOOD brand's radios onsite but in addition to supplying technical equipment, this new three-year agreement also includes visibility for JVCKENWOOD during MotoGP™ broadcasts - as well as trackside publicity and hospitality at the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin and the Dutch GP at the TT Circuit Assen.
Osamu Muraoka, General Executive of Communications Systems Division, JVCKENWOOD Corporation, says: “We are very honored to be named the official supplier of the digital radio communications system used by MotoGP. JVCKENWOOD is deploying digital radio communications systems with high reliability and functionality, which were developed by leveraging its long-standing technologies and know-how in communications and audio around the world. JVCKENWOOD’s digital radio communications systems are rated highly for excellent speech quality and their track-record in motor sports, where races are held under conditions with intense noise. I’m sure the DMR-compliant digital radio communication systems, comprising KENWOOD-brand digital radio equipment and the highly reliable relay system of Italy-based Radio Activity, a new JVCKENWOOD Group company, will ensure the smooth operation of MotoGP.”
Pau Serracanta, Managing Director, Dorna Sports, adds: “We are pleased to welcome JVCKENWOOD on board as Radio Communications Supplier to MotoGP and we look forward to a successful three-year collaboration. Sharing much of the same vision, we are sure that JVCKENWOOD will supply top quality equipment and service focused on technical progress, and that this agreement will be a mutually valuable venture for both parties.”
