Reale Avintia Racing presentation in Madrid

Rabat and Simeon joined by Moto3 contender Livio Loi as the covers come off 2018

Reale Avintia Racing are ready for 2018, with MotoGP™ riders Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon presenting their 2018 bikes on stage in Madrid – also joined on stage by some of the riders from the junior programmes run by the squad. That includes Livio Loi (Reale Avinta Academy) in Moto3™, and FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship riders Vicente Pérez, Andreas Pérez and Andrea Cavaliere, as well as European Talent Cup hopefuls Carlos Tatay, Adrían Huertas and Iker García Abella.

Once the covers were off, it was time to talk about the year ahead.

“The presentation went well and the new design is awesome,” says Rabat, the 2014 Moto2™ World Champion. “We’re ready to begin the Championship in Qatar next week and I can’t wait to start the first practice sessions. I feel at home in this team and I’ve liked my GP17 from the off. Now we’re just waiting for the lights to go out in Qatar.”

Xavier Simeon, the rookie on the other side of the garage, is also looking forward to the start of the season: “Preseason went really well and I was able to learn a lot about MotoGP from the team. The new bike is very beautiful and the presentation was a fitting one for the project. In a few days we’ll be in Qatar under the floodlights and that’s when the good bit begins. The important thing is that we’re ready to start and give it some gas.”

The season now really is right around the corner, and racing begins on the 17th March.
