MotoGP™ back on track to test at Jerez

Nine of the 12 teams on the grid will stick around for some more track action

After the dramatic and pivotal Spanish GP, the paddock hasn’t quite packed up yet – with a one day Official Test at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto taking place on Monday. Nine of the grid’s 12 teams will be taking part, with Suzuki sitting it out and Aprilia instead heading for Mugello to test later.

There’s no Ducati Team of Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso, either, but the Borgo Panigale factory do have bikes on track: Alma Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller, the Angel Nieto Team with Alvaro Bautista, and Reale Avintia Racing, who add test rider Xavier Cardelus to their line-up of Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon.

At Honda, it’s a full house with Repsol Honda, LCR Honda and EG 0,0 Marc VDS all back out on track, and likewise Yamaha – with Movistar Yamaha MotoGP and Monster Yamaha Tech3 present. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing bolster their ranks, too, with the Austrian factory testing with Pol Espargaro, Bradley Smith and test rider Mika Kallio, who rode an early version of their 2019 bike to the team’s first top ten of the season in the Spanish GP as a wildcard.

It’s the first post-GP test day of the season and track action runs from 10:00 to 18:00 (GMT +2). Follow live timing on motogp.com and keep up to date with video updates and then end-of day highlights, as well as rider interviews and reports.
