MotoGP™ on ServusTV in Austria and Germany from 2019

Broadcaster extend their coverage of MotoGP™ with a five-year deal in Austria and Germany

Dorna Sports is delighted to announce both a contract extension and a new agreement with ServusTV, with the Austrian broadcaster set to continue their incredible coverage in Austria as well as coming on board to broadcast MotoGP™ live and free-to-air in Germany from 2019.

This new five-year agreement ensures fans across both German-speaking nations will get incredible coverage from the on-site ServusTV team, with MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ all shown live and free-to-air in stunning HD. In addition, the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and new FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup will also form part of a comprehensive TV, online, live streaming and mobile package.

“MotoGP is the perfect fit for ServusTV. Our team provides truly exciting and high-quality race reports that go the extra mile to your living room and, for that reason, I am delighted that our commitment over the past three years has paid off. The fact that Dorna Sports wants to continue working with us as a TV partner over the next few years as well makes us really proud,” says Ferdinand Wegscheider, Director of ServusTV.

“MotoGP has rapidly evolved in Austria to become a successful format at ServusTV. It comes as no surprise that, in all likelihood, it’s the most thrilling motorsport on TV at the moment. It is now important that we keep working hard and tackle Germany with the same energy,” says Christian Nehiba, Head of Sports at ServusTV.

“After three years doing an impeccable job in Austria, ServusTV are now set to become an unbeatable partner in Germany as well,” says Manel Arroyo, Managing Director of Dorna Sports. “This broadcaster, thanks to their commitment from the first minute, clearly understands the philosophy of our sport and how to expand it amongst our fanbase as well as how to bring new fans on board. Without doubt, we couldn’t be happier about this new alliance.”

After the Austrian GP there are another eight races to enjoy on ServusTV in Austria during 2018, before the new deal takes MotoGP™ – and WorldSBK – across Austria and Germany from 2019.
