Corsi undergoes successful surgery

The Italian ruptured the ring finger on his right hand in the Turn 3 crash at the Austrian GP which also involved Baldassarri and Fernandez

Simone Corsi (Tasca Racing Scuderia Moto2) underwent successful surgery after rupturing the ring finger on his right hand, sustained in a Turn 3 crash in Sunday’s Austrian GP, which also saw the Pons HP40 bikes of Lorenzo Baldassarri and Augusto Fernandez crash out of contention.

The operation took place at the Ospedale Maggiore in Parma, with the Italian expected to take part at the British GP in just under two weeks’ time.
