Sasaki set to miss Aragon through injury

Japanese rider suffered a left wrist fracture in the last corner incident at Misano

Ayumu Sasaki (Petronas Sprinta Racing) will miss this weekend’s Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon after fracturing the radius and ulna in his left wrist after being caught up in the second lap incident at the San Marino GP that saw five riders go down at the final corner.

The Japanese rider didn’t require surgery and although the recovery process going well, the 17-year-old has been told by doctors that his wrist must remain imobilised for a further 10 days.

This means Malaysian Adam Norrodin will be the sole Moto3™ Petronas Sprinta Racing representative on track at MotorLand Aragon.
