MotoGP™ teams ready for Monday Barcelona test

Premier class will stay at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Monday for an official one-day outing

After a day full of drama and elation at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, the MotoGP™ riders and teams are staying at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for an official one-day test.

Every team will be present on Monday 17th June in Barcelona, with the addition of four test riders. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Dani Pedrosa will be back on track alongside familiar names as he takes part in his second test with the Austrian factory, he’ll be joined by HRC’s Stefan Bradl, Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Sylvain Guintoli and Aprilia Racing Team Gresini’s Bradley Smith.

All the full-time MotoGP™ riders will be back out on track putting in the work, but there’s one exception. After a crash during Sunday’s race at Turn 10, Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) has been diagnosed with a bone edema on the left knee, with further information being published tomorrow as doctors wait for the swelling to go down. The Spaniard will sit out Monday’s test, with testing duties being left to Smith and teammate Andrea Iannone.
