Tatay first made his mark on the world stage when he took victory during his debut Red Bull Rookies Cup weekend at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto. A second and a first at the opening round was then backed up with a further two rostrums at the final round at Aragon. Meanwhile, the Spaniard started to find his feet in the Junior World Championship. 2019 saw Tatay put together a title tilt on two fronts in both the Red Bull Rookies Cup and Junior World Championship. Four victories in the Junior World Championship was only good enough for runner-up behind Jeremy Alcoba but four wins, and a further five rostrums, in the Red Bull Rookies saw him join an illustrious list of Cup winners. For 2020, Tatay made the step up to the Moto3™ World Championship with the Reale Avinita squad. The Valencian collected a best finish of sixth at the European Grand Prix towards the end of the season, while he matched that result at the Spanish GP in 2021 as his steady progress continued in his second season in the lightweight class. A change of scenery comes in 2022, as the young Spaniard joins Pruestel GP for his third season in Moto3™.
