Baz is back!

Frenchman returns from injury at MotorLand Aragon

Loris Baz (Avintia Racing) suffered a big crash at the start of the British GP at Silverstone, and after a tough season already interrupted by injury the Frenchman was forced to take another brief break from competition - missing the San Marino GP at Misano World Circuit on the Riviera di Rimini. Now set to return once again for the Aragon GP at MotorLand, the Frenchman isn't quite 100%, but is confident the time is right to get back to racing and continue working on the impressive trajectory the shown by rider and team of late - including a P4 finish in Brno. Medical advice agrees, and the former WorldSBK race winner will now have to pass a medical at the track on Thursday before being reunited with his bike for FP1 as action begins on Friday morning.

Loris Baz: "I'm not quite at the maximum and the foot stills hurts quite a lot, but I think I can get on the bike - and my doctors and physiotherapist who are treating me agree. On Thursday I'll pass a medical at the track and then head out on track on Friday and see how I am. Since the crash I've been working with the physic and doing a lot of exercise in the pool to increase mobility. It's getting better bit by bit, but we'll have to see how it is on the bike. I'm going to Aragon with the intention of having a good weekend, trying to score points if possible, but mainly to get a good feeling back so I can head into the triple-header on good form."
