Martin “close to having everything it takes to win”

Second consecutive podium for the Spaniard in Argentina

It was another impressive race for Del Conca Gresini Moto3 rider Jorge Martin at Termas de Rio Hondo in Argentina, as the Spaniard repeated his Qatar podium heroics to cross the line in P3 – just behind the same two men as at Losail, Joan Mir (Leopard Racing) and John McPhee (British Talent Team). Getting a tough start to the weekend in Argentina and working hard to get race ready, the Spaniard is satisfied with the points haul as the Championship starts to get in gear, but feels he’s still lacking a little to be able to take the victory – making the target in Austin an obvious one going forward.

Jorge Martin, P3: “It was a hard weekend, the first day I was really bad but the team did a good job and I was really close. We were struggling a bit under braking whereas Mir and McPhee were very strong, so third place was realistically our best possible result. We are very close to having everything it takes to win, but for now we take these precious 16 points home: with all these races and so many podium contenders, consistency is the key. It’s a good start but Joan has better pace than me and we have to catch him.”
