Bautista: "I feel like a rider again"

Spaniard feeling good in his eighth year in the premier class - now on a Ducati

Pull&Bear Aspar Team's Alvaro Bautista is now in his eighth season in MotoGP™, and the Spaniard says he's enjoying it more than ever; immediately at home on the GP16 Ducati. After effectively testing in-season with Aprilia in the previous two years, Bautista is enjoying another new challenge on another new bike.

Alvaro Bautista: "I feel much better fighting for the top positions. I come back to the front. In my mind, it’s like the last two years are forgotten. Now I’m a rider again, I feel like a rider, and not a test rider. Now you can push, you can feel and you can fight for the good positions. I think I’m enjoying it more than ever in the MotoGP class."

After proving a top presence in testing, the former 125 World Champion has one top four finish already in 2017 - and has a set target for the year that he doesn't see any reason to change.

AB19: "Our target was to fight for topfive in every race. It’s not easy because there are a lot of factory riders - if you count the factory riders there are six fast riders. But I was realistic and I think we are able to fight for it."
