Oliveira tops FP1 in Germany

KTM fastest in first practice at the Sachsenring

Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) went quickest in FP1 at the German GP for the new intermediate class KTM effort, dueling for supremacy with Championship leader Franco Morbidelli (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) until pulling two tenths clear. Takaaki Nakagami (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) completed the top three as the session stayed dry but grey.

There were a number of crashers including Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) and Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team), who suffered a spectacular highside at Turn 12.
