Action continues in Barcelona for one-day Official Test

Most of the grid head back out on Monday

After the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, it’s not quite time for teams to pack up and head for Assen – with the majority of the field staying at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for a one-day Official Test.

The big absentee are the Ducati Team, with race winner Jorge Lorenzo and teammate Andrea Dovizioso not taking part. But the Repsol Honda Team of reigning Champion Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa remain, as do Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s podium finisher Valentino Rossi and teammate Maverick Viñales. Team Suzuki Ecstar, too, as well as Aprilia Racing Team Gresini. And although the factory team aren’t staying, Borgo Panigale machinery will be out in force with Alma Pramac Racing and Reale Avintia Racing.

LCR Honda Castrol’s Cal Crutchlow is back out, as well as LCR Honda Idemitsu teammate Takaaki Nakagami. Monster Yamaha Tech 3 and EG 0,0 Marc VDS also remain.

It will be a full house of manufacturers, with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pol Espargaro, Bradley Smith and Mika Kallio all taking part, too – and expectation high as they prepare to test more on the early 2019-spec version of the RC16.

Track action begins from 10:00 and continues until 18:00 – check out all our updates from the event on motogp.com.
