Nepa replaces Yurchenko at CIP - Green Power

Italian will be riding alongside John McPhee in the lightweight class

From the Dutch GP at the TT Circuit Assen, CIP - Green Power will be welcoming a new face to the team in the form of Stefano Nepa. The Italian, from racing in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship and the CIV, is now confirmed on the world stage from the eighth round until the end of 2018.

“Stefano is a very promising rider in whom the Italian Motorcycle Federation believes as much as I,” says Alain Bronec, Team Owner. “He currently rides a KTM, that should help him adjust to our team, even if his GP debut will require a lot of work on his part. We aim for him to improve throughout races and rank in the Top 10 by the end of the season. His arrival is part of a long-term project, since we already hope we’ll be able to keep him in our team for the 2019 season.”

“It’s an amazing season for me,” adds Nepa. “After getting good results in Barcelona CEV and Imola CIV, I’m very happy to be given this opportunity by CIPGreen Power. It won’t be easy because Moto3 is a very competitive category and I will be discovering nearly all the tracks, but I’ll do my best to improve. I sincerely thank my new team, as well as the Italian Motorcycle Federation, my family and my sponsors who help to reach my goals.”
