Poggiali looking good in the second 125 free practice

Manuel Poggiali was on blistering form in the second 125 free practice session at the Phakisa Freeway this morning. The Gilera rider, who hails from San Marino, lapped under Youchi Ui´s provisional pole time from yesterday´s first qualifying session, whilst Ui´s Japanese compatriot Nobby Ueda also bettered the Derbi rider´s time on the TSR-Honda.

Ui himself had a steady session and didn´t even lap within the top 15 times until a quarter of an hour from the end. He will be looking to this afternoon´s final qualifying session to re-establish his authority in the class.Elsewhere 15 year old youngster Dani Pedrosa made huge strides on his Honda and was 11th quickest in the session, whilst Max Sabbatani and Simone Sanna emerged from nasty looking falls without injury. Sanna had looked in a bad way after getting to his feet and then collapsing to the ground again, but doctors confirmed that he will be okay to ride this afternoon.
