Britain´s young 500cc hope Leon Haslam suffered a hiccup in his progression in MotoGP´s premier class when he crashed his V2 Honda in this afternoon´s first qualifying session for the Grand Prix Polini de France.

After being taken to Doctor Costa´s Mobile Clinic, scans revealed that Haslam has a broken left wrist, which has forced him to withdraw from this Sunday´s race at the famous Le Mans circuit and the following round at Mugello, Italy. The youngster hopes to be back in action before the Gran Premi Marlboro de Catalunya on the 17th June.
