West Honda Pons: Capirossi and Barros wish to be on the podium at Donington Park

Loris Capirossi and Alexandre Barros kept their privileged positions in the second qualifying practice of the British GP, and will be tomorrow on the front row of the starting grid. Both West Honda Pons Team riders are confident and willing to fight for victory, which will let them have a chance for the championship.

Loris Capirossi (2nd.):

´Although yesterday and this morning we made a good job with the bike set-up, this afternoon´s qualifying was nearly useless. I am happy to be on the front row and I feel ready to battle for this race and for the championship´.

Alexandre Barros (3rd.):

´It was difficult to improve yesterday´s results because of the rain, and in fact, we´ve lost testing time although the time I made in wet was not bad. We are just in the same position as yesterday, but that´s not really a bad result.´

Sito Pons (Team Manager):

´Keeping yesterday´s position on the grid has been extraordinary. Our riders are ready for the race and I hope tomorrow will be an excellent day for our team.´

Antonio Cobas (Chief Engineer):

´Technically, the 2nd. Qualifying was useless because the track conditions didn´t allow to drive fast.´
