Max Biaggi recounts his sensations after a marvellous provisional pole time at Brno

Hello there everyone, Max Biaggi here for motograndprix.com:

I think that today´s time is unbeatable and will definitely be the pole winning time. Ten minutes before the end of the qualifying session, I went out to the track decided that I would do a fast time. Until now we had been concentrating on getting rid of an annoying vibration in the rear. When I went back onto the track it was with a soft tyre, and I waited until there was some space on the track, because this morning I found Criville behind me, and that helped him get a better time. Simply, I was looking for the way to a good lap, a near perfect lap, and I say nearly perfect because if someone betters my time tomorrow they will say it wasn´t perfect.

I didn´t make a single mistake on any section and it makes me feel much more calm now. Of course there´s another timed session left, but... The time is much lower than that of last year when we used qualifying tyres. I am satisfied by the work we have done today and I recognise that the team is working more and more determinedly now that we are closing in on Rossi. Personally I feel that I have done a good day´s work because my fastest lap was incredible and if somebody had tried to follow me they would have realised how fast I went to get that time.

I´m certain that some riders will get close to me tomorrow, because now they know that they can go quicker. The most important thing has been breaking the 2´01 barrier. I think that tomorrow it´s going to be difficult to better my time. Furthermore, to ride to try and reduce my time by even a tenth would be taking too much of a risk. Tomorrow we will work with the second bike to see if we can better the geometry of it at all.

At the moment I am not thinking about the situation in the championship and the small difference between myself and Rossi, because at the moment, my objective in the practices is to give my all, the best I can and on the decisive lap today I applied myself 100%. Today we are on provisional pole, and tomorrow we have another session, but my bike and I are on form.Max
