Aprilia 250 rider quotes

Aprilia 250 rider quotes

The fact that the Aprilia Rsw 250 are well-adapted to the twisty Valencia circuit has been confirmed in this afternoon´s final qualifying session: Four of the motorcycles that have been constructed at the factory in Noale are in front of everybody else. The first is the one of local hero Fonsi Nieto, who celebrated the first pole of his career. His team-mate Alex Debon is at his side, followed by Roberto Locatelli in third place, and Tetsuya Harada in fourth position. Marco Melandri qualified sixth ahead of Jeremy McWilliams, but the italian rider showed the best rhythm, being the most consistent rider on a high level.

Tetsuya Harada (MS Aprilia Racing) #31
Fourth place in 1´37´033
´The true problem today was the following: The front end of my MS Aprilia Rsw started to bounce around when I hit irregularities on the track, and the front was difficult to control. We are going to try to solve this problem with better bike balance and other modifications. Everybody knows that I don´t like this track very much because it doesn´t offer a lot of grip, so our biggest hope is that it won´t rain.´

Marco ´Macio´ Melandri (MS Aprilia Racing) # 5
Sixth place in 1´37´071
´This afternoon, the motorcycle was sliding a lot. To ride in the low 1´37´s is quite an easy task for me, but if I try to push harder, I´m will be in trouble: The motorcycle starts to run wide and to slide. Honestly, I expected to improve more in comparison to yesterday (when he was first), but we couldn´t. Now it is important to get a good start, because overtaking is not easy on this track. I still believe that the race will be decided between the three of us (Harada, Melandri and Katoh), because the two Spaniards who have their special stimulation in front of their home crowd managed to take a lot of risks and to put a quick practice laps together. But to maintain a strong pace for many laps is another story. I am sure that I can repeat my practice times in the race, whereas with them, I don´t know, or at least I don´t believe it.´

Jeremy McWilliams (MS Aprilia Racing) #99
Seventh place in 1´37´094
´Even though I am in the second row of the grid, I am quite happy, because I am very close to the three that are normally fighting for victory, and I am very confident to have a word to say in this, too. I did my best lap with race tyres, the ones I tried after that didn’t suit. We´ll see, I´m confident.´
