Dark Dog Challenge to MotoGP preparations in full swing

The Dark Dog Challenge to MotoGP, which will take place this year with the aim of providing youngsters with a route into top level competition, has already completed the first stages of preparation. Last week the young entrants completed a programme of physical preparation at a training centre in Munich and they are currently concentrating on the technical studies under the watchful eye of Sepp Schloegl, formerly advisor to Ralf Waldman as well as others.

The young riders´ first contact with the Honda RS125R they will ride throughout the year will take place on the 25th and 28th March at the Italian circuit of Maggione. For the majority of participants, this will be the first time they will have ridden a competitive motorcycle.

The provisional Dark Dog Challenge to MotoGP calendar includes eight rounds. The opening race takes place at Lausitzring on the 12th May and the final round is scheduled for the 29th September at Hockenheim after visits to Oschersleben, Nürburgring, Salzburgring and Sachsenring. The riders will have the chance to meet some of their heroes at the Sachsenring round, as it will be run alongside the German Grand Prix.
