Yamaha riders visit headquarters and factory

At the Yamaha headquarters in Hamamatsu yesterday, the riders from the four official Yamaha teams met up with the manufacturer´s President and Representative Director, Mr. Toru Hasegawa prior to this weekend´s SKYY VODKA Grand Prix of Japan. With Biaggi, Checa, Nakano, Jacque, McCoy, Hopkins, Abe and Riba in attendance, the workers at the factory were given the special treat of meeting the men who carry the company´s flag in MotoGP, with an autograph and photo session.

After visiting the company´s centre of operations, the MotoGP men took a stroll through the in-house showcase of Yamaha achievement, including World Championship winning bikes of Kenny Roberts and Wayne Rainey, as well as the original YA-1 machine which started the company off in 1955. They were then transferred to the 5th Iwata factory, home of Yamaha´s engine assembly production lines, where they witnessed the various models of Yamaha products being put together from scratch.
