´Tetsuya 31´, a look-back on the life and times of Tetsuya Harada

A new book detailing the life and times of veteran World Championship rider, Tetsuya Harada, has just hit the shelves. Harada launched the book, entitled ´Tetsuya 31´, at the recent SKYY VODKA Grand Prix of Japan. Some three hundred fans turned up at the launch and got the opportunity to talk to their idol, and of course leave with a signed copy. The book officially went on sale on April 17th, priced in Japanese bookshops at 2,800 yen, around 15 pounds, and is also available through the Japanese rider´s website, (www.tetsuya31.com).

The book contains a wide selection of colour photos which detail the different stages of Harada´s career, from his debut in the Japanese national championship in 1988, to his 250cc World Championship winning year in 1993, up to last year´s epic battle with compatriot, Daijiro Katoh, again in the quarter-litre class. Also present are a series of shots which capture Tetsuya away from the track, presenting the more personal side of the popular Japanese rider.
