Jarno Trulli swaps four wheels for two at Mugello

Formula 1 racer Jarno Trulli sampled the glamour of MotoGP last weekend when he paid a visit to the Gran Premio Cinzano d´Italia at Mugello. The Renault driver is a frequent visitor to the leather-clad world of motorsport, and once again he was impressed by the experience.

`I have been to many MotoGP races but I think Mugello is the best one to come both for atmosphere and racing,´ explained Trulli, who finished fourth in the F1 Grand Prix at Monaco recently. `I think MotoGP is becoming very similar to F1 in terms of technology and also the way the riders are working. They are more and more professional and I can see the big changes taking place in this sport. The 250 and 125 classes are also great fun – the way they prepare for the races is very much like karting!´

The Italian was treated to home victories in all three classes, although he admitted he would have preferred a different winner in 125. `It was great for me to see Italian winners because I support them all, although I am good friends with Andrea Ballerini and it would have been a dream to see him on top of the podium. The amount of supporters here was amazing and they saw some great battles in all three classes.´
