Matti Seidel takes victory in second round of Dark Dog Challenge to MotoGP

The second round of the Dark Dog to MotoGP Challenge aimed at discovering young German riding talent, took place this weekend at the Motopark Oschersleben in Rollentausch. The same three riders as in the first round of the ADAC and Honda backed competition climbed the podium steps, although this weekend in a different order. Sixteen year-old Matti Seidel took victory, as Oliver Skach again claimed second place, whilst winner of the first round, Max Muller came home third.

Seidel did not get off to the best of starts, and indeed it was Skach who led the 14 lap race in the early stages. However, once Seidel had forced his way into the lead he never looked back, and went on to win by over six seconds. Amongst the other notable performances was Jesco Gunther who followed up his fifth place last time out with fourth, and Christine Ledwig who again finished in the top ten in ninth. Muller and Seidel now lead the standings with 41 points each, while Skach is in third, just one point behind.
