Mick Doohan analyses the Gran Premi Malboro de Catalunya

Valentino Rossi once again demonstrated his undoubted class by winning this race at a circuit where it is very difficult to pass on the straights and you have to take a few risks with the braking. He rode a really great race, but you also have to say that the Yamaha is improving all the time even though it still isn't quite as Checa wants.

It was difficult to choose theright tyres for the race because the temperature meant the track surface was very hot. All in all it was a good race, and Valentino has now increased his lead in the championship.
