Randy Mamola gives his thoughts on the Cinzano British Grand Prix

We saw a fantastic start to the race, with Checa leading Rossi, and Biaggi running in third. Unfortunately, Checa lost the front and crashed out on lap 18. So Valentino went on winning another race, his 7th win out of eight races, but also his 46th career victory on his 100th GP appearance.

Checa did a fantastic job leading Rossi, as he knew he could have the Italian go by and finish second, but that's Carlos is all about. He wants to win and tried to beat the Honda V5. Biaggi got off a pretty bad start, but he could settle for second in the end as it was good enough for him.
