Rossi confirms four wheel switch

Valentino Rossi confirmed yesterday afternoon that he will switch from two wheels to four when he competes in the NetworkQ Rally of Great Britain, between 14-17 November 2002. The 23-year-old Italian will drive a Peugeot in the final round of this year´s World Rally Championship.

`It should be real fun and there will be no problems because the MotoGP season will be over,´ explained Rossi. `It will be an Italian team and we are now working to raise the money. Sure it will be cold and wet but I´ll be sitting inside for once.´

Rossi has always been keen on rallying and has hinted that when he stops racing motorcycles he could well switch to four wheels. At the beginning of this season Rossi signed a two-year deal with Honda so a permanent switch to car racing is not on the cards just yet.
