New blood for the Equipe de France

A young French rider will enter the 250 World Championship scene in Brno, where will be held the Gauloises Grand Prix of Czech Republic : Erwan Nigon will take the place of Vincent Phillipe within the Equipe de France.

The Equipe de France has announced after the Cinzano Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland, at the Sachsenring, that Vincent Phillipe would leave the team after a disappointing first half of the season. The Besançon-born rider didn´t manage to adapt to his Aprilia, and the team managed by Jean Claude Besse chose to promote 18 years old Erwan Nigon.

This year, Nigon competes in the 250 Europe Championship, aboard a Honda from the Equipe de France Espoirs. He showed great promises in various occasions and took two podiums, in France and in Netherlands. The young French rider has also had the opportunity to take part in the Polini Grand Prix of France last may, as a wildcard. As he joins the Equipe de France Grand Prix, he will now race aboard an Aprilia.
