Barberá, Molina, De Gea and Fernández take Albacete glory

Héctor Barberá (Aprilia, 125cc), Álvaro Molina (Yamaha, 250cc) José David de Gea (Suzuki, Supersport) and Oriol Fernández (Yamaha, Fórmula Extreme) were the four victors in the fourth round of the CEV Fortuna Spanish National Championship at Albacete on Sunday in front of over 11,000 spectators.

In the 125cc category Grand Prix regular Barberá dominated the race from the first lap and crossed the line in record time. The Valencia youngster now leads the series by 16 points from Fabrizio Lai. The Italian finished third on Sunday after recovering from a bad start as Alvaro Bautista took second.

In 250cc the current leader of the European Championship, Álvaro Molina, held off World Championship team-mates Héctor Faubel and Raúl Jara. The RFME pair still lead the championship, however, with Faubel holding a 21 point advantage over Jara.

De Gea took the Supersport win ahead of David García (who substituted Emilio Alzamora at Brno last week) and Daniel Ribalta. Oriol Fernández, who rode in both Supersport and Fórmula Extreme, claimed victory on his first appearance in the latter discipline ahead of Josep Sardà and Daniel Oliver.
