The Repsol Honda team keeps increasing its lead in the Team standings

The Repsol Honda team increased its lead in the MotoGP Team standings after the Marlboro Grand Prix of Portugal in which, for the fourth time this year, the team added to its tally the 25 points of Valentino Rossi´s victory and the 16 points of Tohru Ukawa´s third place.

With a 41 points haul in Portugal, the Repsol Honda team now leads the Marlboro Yamaha team by 141 points, after Checa and Biaggi scored 30 points with second and sixth. The Marlboro Yamaha has a firm grasp on the second position, with a 74 points advantage over the West Honda Pons, with Barros bringing home 11 points. Abe´s sheer consistency allows the Antena 3 Yamaha d´Antin team to lie in fourth, 80 points behind the Honda Pons team. Fortuna Honda Gresini, Kanemoto Racing and MS Aprilia Racing failed to score in Portugal. In the case of Aprilia, Laconi didn´t manage to take the flag within the top 15 for the fifth time in a row.
