Mick Doohan on another dominant performance for Honda

Mick Doohan on another dominant performance for Honda

That was another very strong showing from Honda with several of the guys having plenty of reason to put in a couple of good performances before the end of the season. I guess Tohru Ukawa is desperate to show his ability amid the rumours that he will not be in the team next year and he showed his determination with an excellent lap today. Alex Barros is riding high on confidence after his win last week and Daijiro Kato will be wanting to take that elusive first victory before the end of the season. When you add Valentino Rossi to the mix it makes for a very promising race for Honda and an exciting one for us viewers.

I have no idea what is going on with the Yamaha and Suzuki four-strokes, but it is clear that they are having some problems. Garry McCoy lapped quicker than both of them on the YZR500 at a track where he shouldn´t really be giving them any trouble, so it is either an outstanding performance for him or something is wrong with them. Loris Capirossi crashed towards the end of the session so I would expect him to improve tomorrow and he will be another one to give the four-stroke guys something to think about on Sunday.
