Carlos Checa: ` My diary is full for the next two weeks ´

Ever since the season finished at Valencia I have been non-stop running around and have had no time to rest at all. I am still annoyed with what happened on the start grid there, it is still fresh in my memory, but I am trying to look to the future which is pretty hectic because my diary is full for the next two weeks.

I have just arrived in Spain from Great Britain, where I have been searching for a new house. I spent this year in Yorkshire, near to Geoff Crust, but this year I will be moving to the outskirts of Derby, near to Donington and the East Midlands airport. The 250cc Motocross rider Jamie Dobb is giving me some advice and he has given me a hand finding a place. Now I will have to decide but before that I have a car race to look forward to.

This weekend I will be competing in the Race of Champions on the Canary Islands. I love anything with an engine and wheels and I am going to enjoy myself as much as possible. I will be going for it, but I am aware of my limitations in a car and this is important when you take control of top level machinery you are not used to driving.

Next weekend I have to return to Valencia for a three day test with Yamaha, which will be the first time Marco Melandri rides with our team. Personally I will be using this test to experiment with the information we gathered there after the Grand Prix. We will continue down in Jerez and then from the 14th or 15th December I will at last have some free time, although I will continue training in the gym.

In any case, I will be looking forward to a rest towards the end of December and will spend Christmas preparing for a return to action in January.
