Ducati and Aprilia hard at work in Jerez

Ducati and Aprilia are testing at the Jerez track in Spain, for the second time in a fortnight, continuing their pre-season programme. For this second outing on the Andalusian track, the two italian teams of the MotoGP World Championship have planned a three day session, which will end on wednesday.

Three Ducati riders are present in Spain : Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss, but also test rider Vittoriano Guareschi. On the first day, the team mainly worked on searching for the best possible set-up, suspension settings and mapping of the engine, which was used by all three riders in ´Four Pulse´ mode.

Aprilia was also on the track, with Colin Edwards and test rider Marcellino Lucchi. Noriyuki Haga couldn´t take part in this testing session as he was celebrating his wedding in Japan. The American rider mainly worked on tyres testing while Marcellino Lucchi, who went for a harmless slide, focused his work on the RS Cube engine.
