HRC wraps up in Valencia

HRC riders Nicky Hayden, Daijiro Kato and Tohru Ukawa concluded a two-day testing session at the Ricardo Tormo track in Valencia. Under low temperatures, the American and the two Japanese riders dedicated their day to tyre testing. Hayden suffered a crash in the morning and despite a sore hand, he was able to continue testing in the afternoon. Ukawa completed 104 laps and posted the best time of the day (1´33.7), while Kato lapped in 1´34.54 with a total of 50 laps. Hayden completed 55 laps with a best time of 1´35.50.

The HRC will now head south to Jerez to continue testing and will be joined by Valentino Rossi, while Yamaha will start testing in Valencia tomorrow. The 250cc World Champion Marco Melandri will lap for the first time aboard the M1, alongside new team mate Carlos Checa. The Gauloises Yamaha riders, Jacque and Barros, will also be on the track while Shinya Nakano will make his debut with Luis d´Antin´s team.
