Aprilia opens Noale factory doors for title celebrations

Aprilia lifted four different titles in the 2002 MotoGP World Championship, and celebrated in unusual fashion when they opened their Noale factory doors to the public last Saturday. The competition and R&D departments are both housed under the same roof at the Italian headquarters and local schools and institutions took the unique opportunity of a guided tour with Group President Ivano Beggio.

In total around 500 people from different parts of Italy gained first hand knowledge of the different technological aspects of the machines produced by Aprilia although, for many, the most exciting moment was meeting 250cc World Champion Marco Melandri, who was on hand to chat about the bike which clinched the individual and constructors´ honours in the quarter-litre class. The Italian factory, of course, also sealed both titles in the 125cc class.
