Ducati wrap up three-day test at Phillip Island

Ducati riders Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss completed today the third and final day of testing in Phillip Island, Australia. Both riders were scheduled to complete a race simulation today as well as tests with different chassis and rear suspension settings. Capirossi completed a 27-lap run and was pleased with his new chassis. He clocked a best lap of 1´32.3, two tenths faster than Bayliss, who was testing race tyres and suspension settings.

Claudio Domenicali, Managing Director of Ducati Corse, declared : ´We can only be satisfied with the results of these tests in Australia. It has been a very demanding year and I am happy that it has come to an end with positive results. The results are good, but winter testing is one thing and the races are another. For sure our competitors are also working to improve and the challenge that lies ahead is going to be a very difficult one´.
