Alzamora to continue Derbi development in Jerez

After taking a break over Christmas I have restarted my programme of physical training, with a daily routine in the gym and a couple of sessions a week on the motocross bike. I spent the holidays mainly with my family, but I also took the opportunity to head for London for five days with my girlfriend. I had wanted to visit there for a long time – it is a city which I have passed through many times but never visited properly. We spent New Years Eve there and it was really worth it.

The team have been spending time developing the engine, before we travel to Jerez this coming weekend for our next test. Up to now we have only had a shakedown session with the Derbi at Almería, but this test in Jerez should give us a good idea of where we are right now with the bike because we have times to refer to and so on. From now we will be working to get up to date and make sure we have a competitive machine from the first race. This is our objective and I am confident it will be that way.

My only doubts on joining the team were from a technical point of view. That is why I insisted on a top quality Chief Mechanic and when I was told it would be Olivier Liegois I knew the project was in good hands. I have joined a very ambitious and motivated team who want to fight for the title. Now we will see if we are capable.
