Aprilia make third visit to Jerez as hard work continues

The Aprilia MotoGP team of Colin Edwards and Noriyuki Haga are at present visiting the circuit of Jerez in southern Spain for the third time in the off-season to continue development work in preparation for the 2003 campaign ahead. During this session the American, who is the reigning World Superbike Champion, and the Japanese rider worked principally on their engine and chassis set-up.

The aerodynamics of the RS cube is another area of attention for the Italian manufacturer with the pair trying different configurations and alterations of bodywork as they continue the evolution process of the bike with a view to soon completing basic areas of the machine and begin refinement for the on-coming GP year.

This is the third time Edwards will have tested at Jerez after making his move from Honda and World Superbike to Aprilia and MotoGP. Haga is at the track for only the second time in the pre-season period and missed the team´s second testing session in Spain due to taking some time off to get married back in Japan.
