MotoGP riders in attendance at Honda´s official presentation in Tokyo

At a special event in Tokyo in front of a select group of guests, Honda have officially presented their 2003 motorsports set-up and teams. The stage welcomed the majority of the factory's official riders for this upcoming season, both in two- and four-wheeled disciplines. Amongst the list of those called up to bring in the new year for the Japanese giant were MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, with his colleagues Tohru Ukawa, Daijiro Kato, Nicky Hayden and Makoto Tamada also present. Added to these were other figures such as World Championship Motocross rider Yoshitaka Atsuta and their official Formula One team.
Takeo Fukui, Senior Managing Director at Honda commented, `In MotoGP, we will further strengthen our structure by using the RC211V bike for all seven entries by our four racing teams. We are incredibly proud of our strongest-ever rider line-up, anchored by Valentino Rossi, who has now scored two consecutive victories in the top class of MotoGP, as well as some talented new recruits. This year we anticipate some furious competition in the 4-stroke MotoGP category, which features bikes from eigth manufacturers in all. As we set the bar higher and strive to attain increasingly difficult goals, our racing team is more determined than ever to demonstrate our true potential. I suggest you keep a close eye on us in the months ahead as we do battle with the RC211V, which is continuing to evolve´.
