Taylor satisfied as Suzuki take day off Down Under

Garry Taylor today expressed his satisfaction at the latest phase of testing for Team Suzuki at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia. After two days of intense work at the track, the long-serving Team Manager ordered his squad to take a well earned rest on Wednesday, before returning for further development of the all-new GSV-R on Thursday and Friday. The 2003 model of the Japanese factory´s MotoGP racer is said to bear no resemblance to last year´s prototype version, and Taylor revealed that the whole team has been delighted by its performance so far.

`We had the first test with the new bike at Sepang a couple of weeks ago and basically the only thing on it that we recognised was the swingarm!´ said Taylor. `We´ve even changed that down in Phillip Island now so it is a completely new bike. For this reason we are obviously not looking out for times - although you have to keep one eye on the stopwatch – we´re just trying to bring the development of the bike along as quickly as possible. The weather down here is beautiful – there is no sign of wind and the track conditions are perfect, so we´re looking forward to getting two more good days in tomorrow and Friday.´
